The Newcastle Coalfields Rugby League Referees are pleased to announce the continuation for 2010 of their sponsorship arrangement with the Newcastle and Hunter Youth Development Trust. The arrangement allows for the Newcastle and Hunter Youth Development Trust logo to appear on all jerseys worn by referees in all matches from Under 6's through to Under 17's, along with school fixtures, played in the Newcastle and Lower Hunter areas.

Chairman of the Newcastle Coalfields referees John Fahey said "It is great that we have such wonderful supporters of junior sport like the Newcastle and Hunter Youth Development Trust. This sponsorship arrangement allows us to continue to recruit and develop rugby league referees in the local area, and provide players of rugby league the chance to have appropriately qualified referees officiating in all their games”. Robyn Murray from the Trust said “We have great pleasure in assisting the development of juniors in sport overall, and this sponsorship of the Newcastle Coalfields Referees is a significant commitment to ensure the future development of rugby league referees in the Newcastle and Hunter area.”
